I found that using a butter knife worked best to get into the first piece of plastic starting on the outer edge of the piece and working your way around the whole inside of the door to help release the plastic sort of clips and then I had another obstacle to get around a metal piece that looked like it was screwed on from the front side of the door. After extensive searching through videos I found one that showed how to remove this piece as well. It was the same as the first step just look for the plastic sort of clips and using a small thin flat head screw driver work your way around this piece in a similar fashion as the first piece being careful not to get too rough with it so you don't break off any clips. once you have that one out you have all access needed to remove old pieces of handle and to screw new handle on. | Big improvement! Replaced this part on my moms micro. Funny thing is that at her condo, all units have same appliances, her neighbors have all their handles broken off from their OEM micro. Shame on Frigidaire for letting poor quality / designed plastic parts on a critical component. Tricky install for the DIYer. Take your time & be cautious. |
