You have to dismantle the entire microwave door to install this handle. There are tons of hidden plastic snap tabs in the door parts that need to come out to dismantle the door. Expect to break many of them. I found a couple of youtube videos, which were life savers, but it was still next to impossible. An infinitely better design would be for plastic tabs to pop out of the handle so that it can be screwed into the door - but no, the door has to be taken apart for the screws to be screwed into the handle. Completely idiotic. Presumably this was a rational choice by the manufacturer to make you throw away the microwave and buy a new one - which would be easier than installing this cheap piece of plastic. I only gave it two stars, because the part itself is fine. The construction designer should be forced to replace 100 of these as penitence. |
