Fingers Crossed Haier appliances get mixed reviews. From the reviews I've read of similar Haier microwaves here on Amazon, I'm cautiously optimistic about this purchase. We've had ours only for a day. I bought it at Walmart for $55, though I would have used Amazon if we weren't in a hurry to replace our ruined Sharp, .8 cu ft, 800w oven. The Haier is a little bigger--inside and out and a little more powerful. It is also much, much quieter--both my wife and daughter keep remarking on that. It has an interior light and a turntable as well as a variable power control. The Sharp had only the turntable, so these features are also a step up. Performance so far is excellent. So the only issue is the question of longevity. The Sharp lasted 5 years (and may have gone longer except I burned a roll in it and the smoke smell could not be removed. Live and learn.) I'll update if required. |
