Perfect cup of coffee
This was a replacement for a previous Yama pot which I've had several years. The seal was beginning to be worn so I decided to replace the pot. I usually keep old ones as I have been known to break my pots especially the more delicate upper. After receiving the new pot I realized how stained and worn mine was. It's gone. I love these pots!!!

Vacuum coffee pots have a long history and have a deserved reputation for producing a fantastic brew. Here's how Mad Scientist Coffee Brewing works: Coffee grind should be slightly finer than regular drip methods. Fill the bottom carafe with cold water. Drop the washable, reusable cloth-covered filter into the top chamber with the attached chain dangling inside the siphon tube and hook the chain to the bottom of the tube. Add 5-8 (depending on your size carafe) small scoops of coffee to the top infusion chamber and place it over the bottom carafe. Use medium-high heat. As the water boils it is siphoned to the top chamber and the waiting coffee grounds (a small amount of water often remains in the bottom, this is normal). Remove from heat, stir the brewing coffee with the included bamboo stir stick; then let it flow down through the filter to the bottom carafe. Remove the top for serving.
