Item arrived well packaged and installation was easily. Installed in an Amana range. Installation is easy. First, make sure you kill the circuit to your stove. Then remove the screws holding the cover in the bottom of the stove, remove the cover, then remove the screws holding the damaged bake element. When you remove the damaged bake element, slowly pull it out so you can safely pull the wire connections (connections are typical 50 Insulated Male Quick-Connect Terminals 16-14 Gauge). Then connect the new bake element, install and you're done. |

The only trick was removing the screws and cover at the bottom of the oven (btw, make sure the stove is unplugged and at room temperature) to extract the original baking element (which had partially disintegrated). Bottomline is I was able to restore life to my oven without a service call and at a fraction of what it would have cost to replace the stove and dispose of it. |
| Quick fix for our oven from Amazon.com Our oven heating element had a hot spot on it and it shorted out. We replaced it with this new heating element and it works like new, actually better. It saved us from having to buy a new stove. I was very easy to replace the old with the new. I love that you can get almost anything you need from Amazon. |
