Works great! Love the controls, and have not had any problems.
Our last microwave failed to heat food after about 3 years of use. I spent a day and a half reading reviews before purchasing a new microwave. This is the microwave i found to have the least amount of negative reviews and numerous positive reviews as well. Microwave looks and works great right out of the box. Packaging was easy to break down for recycling (yay!) Microwave has performed as expected, I really like the instant on controls. You can even set the kitchen timer while the microwave is cooking, That feature works out great for us as we don't have a full kitchen. I am very happy with this microwave so far and would recommend it to family and friends. I will update in the future in regards to longevity if any part of this microwave fails. So far it just works great and we are very happy with it.

Meant for the landfill
If a company makes a poor quality product, they should at least be prepared by having good customer support--on which, unfortunately, GE fails drastically.

I purchased this product to replace a Kenmore microwave oven from 1987 that was still in working condition, but I was concerned about the quality of the casing and what may have been considered "safe" levels of radiation twenty-some years ago. I was mainly familiar with GE products from Jack Welch's era of Six Sigma, when quality was paramount, and GE had products and service that went unmatched.

The appearance of the exterior was pleasant, the inside had sufficiently ample space for most anything I chose to heat. The "reheat" function was typically hit-or-miss, either reheating the food very well, or overcooking it nearly to the point of ruin. When compared to other microwave ovens I've used in the past (at work, houses of family/friends) the placement and organizational schematic of GE's buttons is not what...
